White Sunday is approaching and the children are spending time to practice for their special day in front of parents and the congregation.
White Sunday is celebrated on the second Sunday of October every year and it’s a day that excite the children by getting to wear new clothes and eat their favorite food.
Close to 200 children of the Vaimoso Methodist Church seen practicing White Sunday items, is one example of the busy preparations in all the churches around the country.
Serving at the Vaimoso Methodist Church is Reverend Auro Teve and faletua (wife) Fili.
Practices for White Sunday are mainly the responsibility of church ministers wives and Sunday school teachers.
Ms. Fili wants the children to give their best performance so are practicing hard on their singing, preaching, skits and action songs.
The children are divided into three groups, each with their own selected item to perform for the day.
The Vaimoso congregation is expecting children from overseas spending time with their families in Samoa, taking part.
“ So church will be packed on White Sunday.”
